Stepping away from my career in non-profits arts administration in July 2015, I was thrilled to take the summer off andYoga Alliance Registered Teacher focus on my next steps. One of my goals for this period was to take a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher Training. In August 2015, I completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program at the Divine Wisdom Yoga Teacher Training at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers Costa Rica. This intensive residency included learning over 108 asanas with proper alignment, adjustments & variations, class sequencing incorporating pranayama, mantra & meditation. The teacher training also included studying the Classic Yogic Sciences of Ayurveda (Indian Medicine), Jyotisha (astrology), Vaastu (spatial alignment) & Hasta Samudra (palmistry); all of which greatly assist the expansion of consciousness and provide a new level of spiritual awareness and growth.

I recently completed my 50-hour Yin Yoga Certification with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts at Sermperviva Yoga in Vancouver.

I am thrilled to share my love of Yoga with students in the Tri-Valley, CA. I am excited to have the opportunity to share a variety of Yoga classes with students, you can find me guiding students through a Restorative class, a Vinyasa flow and classes that are open to all levels. I am also honored to work with Yogi’s during private sessions, focusing on creating a flow that is specific to the needs of the individual.

As with Nia, I truly believe that each student is their own best teacher. I appreciate students being aware of their body and allowing themselves to modify asanas as they become more present in each posture.  Most importantly linking breath to movement, quieting the mind and honoring the body’s way.
